Emotionally exhausting week ends on an upbeat note

I took this picture of Grandpa and Grandma Kulp
doing a puzzle at their home in May 2008.
Grandpa died Tuesday morning.

Derek and I posed for a photo at his house before
I left Saturday.

This week was not one of my favorites ever. My grandpa died on Tuesday so I endured marathon days of Thursday and Friday with the viewing and the funeral. It has been great to see family again but the emotional havoc of losing a loved one are nearly impossible to prepare for.

Fortunately, I had already planned to take Derek, the student I work with, to some basketball games tonight at Clinton Christian School. It was a nice break to relax, be crazy and have some fun. It would be great if every school day could be low stress like tonight but then nothing would get accomplished.

I'm attending another family dinner tomorrow. I hope to take some pics to share here. Thanks to everyone reading this who is praying for and remembing my family during this tough time. Grandpa was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Thanks for sharing the pics of both Grandpa and your student. It makes you seem just a little bit closer.
