Two educators take a mini-vacation

My friend Tony and I enjoyed an afternoon on Lake Wawasee yesterday. He borrowed his brother's pontoon for the occasion. The weather was gorgeous with the temperature around 80 and a nice breeze. It was a bit of an end-of-the-summer vacation for me. My job at Goshen Middle School starts next week.

After the lovely boat ride (I even drove for a short time), we went over to his parents' home for a delicious supper of brats, hamburgers, roasting ears, and brownies with ice cream. This family sure knows how to be hospitable!

I work my last day at Yoder's for awhile today. I may continue to work some when I have breaks during the school year. I have appreciated how they made a place for me even though they could not give me full-time hours.

Oh, by the way, Tony is a paraprofessional in the Wawasee school system, hence the title to this entry.
