I'm learning to sew

Although Family Arts and Consumer Sciences (FACS) is actually Derek's class, I am also learning how to sew. I have already learned how to sew buttons on an ornament with a double-threaded needle. This week, we are learning to whipstitch a hem onto a small bag. I am enjoying the practicality of the class but am thankful for those who are gifted in these areas. I am very slow, mind you. But I am looking forward to taking some time to sew a button back on to a pair of pants.
