Acquire the Fire: Battle Cry preview

Nothing much to report right now. This weekend, I will be traveling with the youth group and some others from church to Detroit, Michigan. We will be attending the annual Acquire the Fire Youth Conference called “Battle Cry.” I’m expecting 30,000-40,000 youth and their leaders at Ford Field this year. They usually have an excellent mix of speakers, drama, worship and concerts. I don’t recognize any of the speakers’ names this year but P.O.D., Skillet and Flyleaf are bands scheduled to perform. Skillet and P.O.D. are two of my favorite bands. Hillsong United will be there, too. They will probably lead worship like Delirious did last year. ATF is a highlight for the youth every year. I’m excited to see what God wants to do in their lives this year. I might not be a teenager anymore but I’m going with the expectation that God wants to change me, too.
