MIDDLEBURY (Sat., Jan. 6, 2007) – Behind Todd M.’s season-high 27 points and 12 rebounds, the Couriers downed Howe Military 65-49 at Heritage Middle School.
Matched up with Howe Military’s best shooting team in a number of years, the Couriers clung to three-point and six-point leads at the first two stops. The Wildcats’ Josh P. nailed three shots from three-point range to keep the visitors close.
The Couriers began to slowly take control in the third period building the lead to 50-39. When Howe Military’s athletic 6’4” center fouled out with 12 points early in the fourth quarter, the Couriers were finally able to put the game out of reach.
Caleb M. added 12 points and three steals, Carl M. 11, six rebounds and three steals and Mike T. six assists and three steals for the Couriers (6-3). The team plays next versus Trinity at Heritage Middle School Friday.
