Meet my best friends. Jerry is the one looking on at the bowling alley. This past summer, he married Jenny, the woman sitting beside him. Jerry and I have friends since we were little. We don’t see other that much anymore. When we do, we go play golf, watch football or go out to a movie. We didn’t use to talk much but we always knew that we cared about each other.
Matt can be seen with his bike during a trip last month to Germany and the Czech Republic. He is currently working in Iraq but not as a soldier. We also grew up together. It was great to have him around for a month this past summer after he moved back from Texas. A couple years after high school, he went to college at LeTourneau University and stayed there until this year. He and I are more likely to sit around and talk, ride bike or walk his two dogs. He will return to the U.S. next summer.

I thank God for friends. I also thank God for LaMar, Grant, Robert and others who have become pretty good friends, too. I feel so blessed and I don’t know what I’ve done to deserve it. I hope that you, too, have a few good, loyal friends. We all need them.
