I have now completed one week of Introduction to Computing. The course is an introduction to computers and the four main applications in Microsoft Office 2007. Some reading is required outside of class. Each class begins with about a 45-minute lecture followed by a 2 to 3 hour lab. The lab allows me hands-on learning of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Whenever we finish our labs, we can leave.
I'm really enjoying the class. I am learning some things I would not have had time or known how to go about learning on my own. I enjoy being a student again. While I am pursuing a different degree, I want to see how I can use my Communications degree to enhance my experience and make me into a more well-rounded person.
I will be taking two classes at night in the fall and again in the spring. If I can get the seven undergraduate courses completed by the fall of 2009, I will transfer into the Transition to Teaching program, a three-semester Master's program.

Hey, I want to take that class. Seriously, that's really practical stuff to know.
