I think I might like being a teacher

Okay, it's only one day but I really enjoyed my first day as a substitute teacher today. I subbed for the eighth-grade science teacher at Goshen Middle School. I was surprised that I had very few problems with students respecting me. I guess even at just 31 years old I appear to be an old guy to them. I learned about the periodic table of elements along with the students by doing a word search. Although I only had one period off, the day went by quickly. I only met a couple other teachers but I'm sure that takes time. I can't wait for the next chance to sub again.
