Making progress towards moving day

The carport roof will be need to be repaired

by next winter.

This rubber roof over the addition is starting

to pull away at the edges.

Everything but the sheathing will need to come

off this small roof before it can be properly repaired.

I applied for a home mortgage loan yesterday. Because I do not have much credit, my dad may need to co-sign for me. The loan officer thinks he should be able to put the loan in my name only. That would be much better for a number of reasons.

Monday my parents and I did a thorough inspection of the home. We did not find much new that we had not seen before. The small roof over the front stoop needs replacing and the carport, which has a metal roof, needs some repair. Inside, the walls need paint and a ceiling panel in the dining room has some water damage. The problem has been fixed but the panel is permanently damaged. I plan to replace or cover it up somehow.

Now I need to get some furniture and kitchen supplies. My friend Grant sold me a couch that will be useable once it is cleaned. An entertainment center, coffee table and kitchen or dining room table are on my list. My computer will probably have to go in the dining room but I may still have room for a table, too. I should have room for maybe a love seat and another chair in the living room.
